Rating: 9.4/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:

  • Unusual yellow camouflage pattern
  • Pouch enhances your profile
  • Backside stayed put; no wedgies

Cons:

  • Fabric doesn’t breathe as well as other fabrics
  • Difficult to find

Osgon’s Recommendation: Buy!

During a recent trip to Skivvies in Dallas, Jockmail’s low rise “No Fly Brief” caught my eye hanging on a wall display. I’m always on the lookout for unusual patterns and unfamiliar brands. I loved this brief’s bright yellow camo pattern, and the Jockmail brand was completely unknown to me. $29+tax later, I was on my way home with something new to test for UNB’s readership.

My test for this pair involved a day of grocery shopping and puttering around the house. This brief proved to be exceptional.

The pouch provided ample, comfortable support, although it isn’t as generous (and the fabric isn’t quite as stretchy) as that found in an N2N Bodywear bikini. Nonetheless, I never felt too constricted or needed to readjust things upfront.

The brief provided perfect, all-over backside coverage. The black leg bands stayed in place without ever being too tight or too loose. Any time I needed to squat down, the fabric stretched appropriately without creeping up the back. In short, this brief’s fit fell within the “Goldlocks zone” of comfort.

The 1.75” black elastic waistband didn’t roll and stayed well below the bellybutton. One unique design feature is the pair’s tag: it’s sewn into the waistband along the right hip. The tag never felt scratchy or uncomfortable to me, but this location might be a turnoff to some.

This brief’s camouflage fabric is composed of 80% polyester and 20% spandex. This blend doesn’t “breathe” as well as a cotton-based fabric, and this brief might not provide comfortable long-term wear if you’re going to be out in extreme temperatures. Otherwise, it is extremely comfortable and supportive.

The brief sadly no longer available from Jockmail’s website (www.jockmail.co), but you might be able to find it in your local brick-and-mortar establishment. You can also contact our friends at Skivvies (www.skivviesdallas.com or 214-559-4955) and order a pair. (For items not available on Skivvies’ website, they will accept and process special requests over the phone.)

The brief comes in five colors: yellow (purchased), red, blue, green, & grey. Sizing includes medium (30” – 32”), large (32” – 34”), and extra-large (34” – 36”). Sizing proved accurate.

I was thrilled with this brief’s performance. I look forward to buying more underwear from Jockmail in the future!

PROS

  • unique design
  • nice pouch and bright colors available

CONS

  • seam in the back
  • mesh in front bunches up

Another round of Bum-Chums and I was curious to see how these felt since they were different than just about any other pair of briefs I own.  The bright orange color (Sol) stood out immediately, as did the mesh on the sides and back.  I’m always up for trying something new when it comes to undies and decided to go for it and wear these to work for the day.

The fabric of the pouch is 95% cotton and 5% Elastane so they were soft with a bit of stretch.  The mesh is 95% Polyamide and 5% Elastane.  The back is totally see-through so modesty is not what these are made for!  An interesting design feature – the mesh goes all the way around, even over the top of the pouch, creating a bit of a flap.  I’m guessing that’s supposed to be the “tool belt” design of these briefs.

Sizing seemed on par with other brands.  I’m a 32 at the moment and the medium was a good fit.

I love wearing a new, sexy pair of underwear and these accomplish that.  Mesh is fun and I like the orange pouch, which was nice and comfortable, with enough room for everything up front.  Where I ran into some trouble was the back.  Where the orange fabric comes up and meets the mesh, there is a rather large seam that is very noticeable.  I think maybe the two materials coming together creates a bit of an unsteady seam that is almost wavy if that makes sense.  The point is, about a third up the way up your butt, you can feel the stitching and the seam does not lay flat.  Not the end of the world but the feeling doesn’t get less noticeable – even after an 8 hour day!  I think it took away from the look, as well.  I would have preferred the entire back panel to be mesh and connect down between your legs.  Another issue that didn’t affect comfort, but style, is the mesh going across the front. It didn’t do much except bunch up a bit.

Overall, an interesting pair and I love that brands try new things.  Maybe some seam adjustments would help but I wouldn’t say these are in the everyday rotation – more for fun and showing off.

These undies were furnished by Debriefed and the opinions are that of the reviewer.

Another new brand for me: Debriefed!  After visiting their site, I see they sell other brands as well as their own and their overall theme is inclusion.  Their long-term goal is to expand the brands they carry to offer a selection of great, affordable undies.  I loved the look and feel of these as soon as I opened the package so we were off to a good start.

The first thing you notice with the Debriefed Botanicals, aside from the fun, floral print, is that they are soft.  Really soft! (95% modal and 5% spandex)  They have a contrast gray waistband, leg and pouch trim which was also covered in the same, soft fabric rather than bare elastic, which I appreciate.

I tried a medium, which says it covers a 33-36” waist.  I’m a 32 and they fit just right – not even a little too big, so you might want to size up.  These have a nice pouch and plenty of stretch but they are not cut on the big side.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I decided to break these in on a Saturday running errand, then hanging out at home followed by dinner out.  They felt great as I pulled them on and got things adjusted.  The rear, however, definitely rides up.  A lot.  The trim around the legs is very light and thin, which makes them comfortable, but it doesn’t hold them in place and almost immediate, up they went.  I don’t have much of a butt and the bottom 1/3 of each cheek was showing.  That can actually be kind of sexy in my opinion, but it’s not for everyone.  If you have a lot going on in the back, you’d practically be wearing a thong after bending down once or twice.  This was really the only issue I would foresee someone having with this pair.  I actually have some other briefs with a very similar cut and the same thing happens with them, as well.

I’ll be wearing these again and will try other styles from Debriefed.  I like what they’re about and the prices are pretty fair – except for shipping, but that’s what happens when your undies come from halfway across the world.  They even throw in a gift after you spend a certain amount.

4-Hunks furnished the Load Brief for review.  All opinions of the review are my own and were not influenced by (brand).

Rating: 9/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:

  • A great mix of fetish and regular pair.
  • Fits great and gives great support
  • Super fun design

Cons

  • Note if you have issues with some mesh it may rub you the wrong way
  • May not be a work pair if you have to show undies

UNB Tim recommendation: It’s a great mix of a traditional pair and fetish. You can wear to work under jeans or a suit. Then head out for a fun night at the bar or home with a harness. It’s a great pair that I really enjoyed and plan to wear a lo tmore

This is my first pair of 4 Hunks for a review. This won’t be my last either, I have a few different things to try out. I’m super excited because I love their style that is a mix of regular underwear and fetishwear! The brief I am reviewing is the Load Brief. This brief is a mesh brief. I have some issues with mesh briefs. Some of the fabrics feel like a cheese grater on my business. It’s not a design or brand but the mesh and me. I usually have to adjust and it’s fine.

Unfortunately, this happened with this pair. But it was something I expected and prepared for, so it wasn’t an issue and I didn’t take off for that in my overall review. I wore this pair to work on a regular day. I didn’t do anything too athletic or working out. I really liked the fit and feel of the pair. The mesh was stretchy and gave great coverage. It was even more so than I expected.

The look of the pair is super sexy. You can wear it just as is with jeans or a suit. I think it would be awesome under a suit. Pair this with their harness and it’s total fetish pair. The sports mesh harness would be ideal but any of their harnesses will make a great partner. I like pairs that can be fetish or regular underwear!

The sizing surprised me. I was expecting it to be smaller than it was. The size received was an XL. On the 4 Hunks size chart that fits 41-42 inch waist. They have an odd size chart but for the most part, it’s pretty standard. The medium is a 31.5-33.4 inches. Just double check the size chart before you buy!

The Almost Naked Mesh Air Brief was purchased for review. No sponsorship was given for this pair. All opinions about the pair are my own.

Rating: 6.8/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 5/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 7/10
  • Styling: 8/10
  • Daily Performance: 5/10

Pros:

  • Has my favorite pouch, the Almost Naked Pouch
  • Super sexy mesh design/style
  • Has a sporty feel and not totally a sexual/erotic design.

Cons:

  • The tag is one that drove me crazy. Was scratchy all day
  • Some guys May not like mesh underwear

UNB Tim recommendation: This pair I was expecting the regular AC review. However, the tag on the back made this annoying to wear. The good things were overshadowed by the tag. There is nothing more annoying. I am going to try to cut out the tag and hope that fixes the problem. Let me know if you have this pair and didn’t have the issue with the tag.

I picked the strangest week to review a pair of mesh underwear. It’s been one of the coldest in Atlanta in years. After wearing my jock brief the other day I was hoping I wouldn’t have a constant draft. This is the 4th pair of the five I bought for my own holiday present.

The first thing I noticed was the tag on the back. It has to be one of the most annoying tags I have worn in a long time. Usually Andrew Christian is great about tags, moving more towards tagless pairs. After about an hour I had to turn the waistband down and fold it over the tag. This did the trick but you shouldn’t have to turn it down to wear a pair of underwear.

That was the biggest issue I had with the pair. I loved the mesh that was used to create the pair. It wasn’t 100% see through but gave a brief glimpse of the goods. The fabric is 90% POLYAMIDE 10% SPANDEX fabric blend. I have one issue with mesh undies. It’s not just this pair but several I have tried over the years. My junk kinda rubs the wrong way in the mesh. I just had to readjust and it was fine.

The sizing was as I had hoped. Unlike the Suck It Brief, this felt great from the time I slid it on till when I took it off (the exception is the tag in the back). Top that off with the Almost Naked Pouch makes this a solid pair. Just double check out the size chart when buying underwear

I was super excited about this pair. Had the tag not been so itchy and scratchy it would have gotten a much higher score in daily wear. I am going to look at cutting the label out. With it removed I would definitely wear it in the warmer months. It would be perfect under shorts on a hot day.

PAIR: Andrew Christian Almost Naked Mesh Air Brief
COLORS: Black
FABRIC: 90% POLYAMIDE 10% SPANDEX fabric blend
SIZES: X-Small – X-Large
COST: $20.00

The Almost Naked Suck It Brief is part of the pairs I bought around Xmas. These were not furnished for review and all opinions are my own about the review.

Rating: 7.6/10

  • Daily Fit: 7/10
  • Sizing: 5/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros

  • Awesome suck it print perfect for Valentines Day
  • Has the Almost Naked Pouch
  • Has a Wow Factor

Cons

  • Sizing was off from previous pairs
  • Some guys may not like the over the top print.

UNB Tim recommendation: A great pair for Valentine’s Day. The print is super fun. I had an issue with sizing, this ran smaller than previous pairs from AC. But overall a solid brief.

It’s time for more Andrew Christian reviews. I reviewed the Cock Brief and Master Brief. One I definitely wanted to get is the Suck It Brief. Its named the Suck It because it has a sucker print. As in the candy, get your mind out of the gutter. After the Cock brief I was really looking forward to this pair. It has a similar material and hoped it fit as well as the cock brief.

These were put through the paces very similar to the Cock Brief review. I wore them to work and running around after work doing errands. That noted, when I slid these on they were a bit snugger than the Cock Brief. I thought “Maybe I got another size?” and looked at the tag and nope, it was an XL. Was it too tight? Not really but it didn’t fit as well as the other pairs. Which made me sad because I love this print.

The fabric on this pair is a 90% Polyamide 10% Spandex blend. It feels awesome against the skin. It’s very slick and smooth. It’s perfect for working out. Now would you wear heart-shaped sucker print to the gym? Well, that’s something for you to decide. This pair also has the awesome Almost Naked pouch! It’s my all-time favorite pouch from Andrew Christian. It’s made to ergonomically support a guy!

As I said above this pair was a bit smaller than previous pairs. Most of my pairs of AC have always been pretty standard in sizing recently. So this one made me double take. I know I need to lose a few but I didn’t gain it overnight. Some have commented they had sizing issues before but most have been pretty standard for me. This the first time I have had a noticeable size difference between pairs.

I loved the print of this pair. It’s just a fun Valentine’s pair. Which you could wear out under your suit or jeans on the big night. Or you can rock it every day. The sizing was a bit of an issue for me. It wasn’t so tight I had to take them off in the middle of the day but it was noticeable throughout the day. If you like this take note it’s a Limited Edition pair!

PAIR: Andrew Christian Almost Naked Suck It Brief
COLORS: Print As seen
FABRIC: 90% Polyamide 10% Spandex
SIZES: X-Small – X-Large
COST: $20.00

Andrew Christian didn’t furnish this pair. It was bought in an after-holiday sale from the AC Website! All opinions are my own.

Rating: 8/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 7/10
  • Construction: 8/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 8/10

Pros: It’s a subdued erotic pair, Classic cut, classic fabric

Cons: Some guys may not like “Master” on their waistband, The pair could be too basic for fetishwear,

UNB Tim recommendation: If you are getting into eroticwear and didn’t want to jump right now, this is the pair for you. Or if you are a master and want to be a little more subtle. Hell, or if you just want to have fun with your undies and be comfy doing it! Pick this pair up the classic style is really cool against the “Master” waistband.

This is the second pair in my series of 5 pairs of Andrew Christian I bought during a holiday sale. I wanted something fun. Andrew Christian has many prints and sayings but this one spoke to me. It is the Master Brief. And yes they do have a sub pair to match, Why did I choose this pair? It could be considered an erotic pair but it’s very understated. It’s not over the top and screams FETISH. So I figured why not get it and have fun.

I wore this pair to work. I figured why not chance it. I doubt anyone would see the waistband and if they did would they even notice? I wear whatever I want to, to work and don’t think about if anyone sees. All in all you could consider this to be a basic pair of underwear with the cotton blend. The pair for a regular day held up pretty well.

This pair has a 95% cotton/ 5% spandex blend. It makes it very classic in the feel. The 5% spandex gives you some stretch to the pair. The design I particularly like. As I mentioned above it’s not over the top but more classic, with the Master in the waistband. The front stripes on the pouch are a design feature I particularly like!

Sizing of the pair was ok. The fabric doesn’t stretch as much as I would have hoped. It’s not bad but didn’t fit as well as the Cock Brief I reviewed previously.  I wear an XL right now but will be starting a workout program soon and hope to be back down to a large!

I like this pair. The classic cut and feel works along with the fetish “master” side of the pair. The fit was good and the fabric was good. It’s probably not for all guys but it’s sure fun to wear. Some may want other to catch a glimpse of the waistband above their jeans. Who knows what may happen!

PAIR: Andrew Christian Master Brief
COLORS: Black
FABRIC: 95% Cotton / 5% Spandex
SIZES: X-Small – X-Large
COST: $20

This is a pair I bought to review. Andrew Christian didn’t furnish this pair for review.

Rating: 8.8/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 8/10

Pros: Super Soft Fabric, whimsical print, and amazing Almost Naked pouch

Cons: The print maybe too over the top for some guys. The legs were a bit tight on me.

UNB Tim recommendation: If you want a super fun pair with a great print. I say get it! This pair is a lot of fun to me. The print alone would be my reason to buy, but mix that with the fabric and Almost Naked pouch and it’s a winner!

We are right around the corner for Valentine’s Day. It’s time to think of your undies for the big night and bring your Underwear A Game that night. After Christmas, I wanted to splurge and bought $100 of Andrew Christian undies for just $50. Not all the undies we review were given to us. Like a lot of guys here we still buy undies and share our views. I wanted to try the Cock brief with Almost Naked pouch. Why? Because it’s super fun and I love the Almost Naked Pouch

It took a week for the pairs to get here because I didn’t pay for express shipping. Which is fine because I didn’t need it right away. I decided to wear this on my first day to work after the holiday. The first thing I noticed when I put the pair on is the fabric. When I was in Dallas, the pair Osgon reviewed (Ghost Brief), had the same awesome material. I kicked myself because I didn’t get a pair for myself. Now, I have an even funner (if that’s a word) pair of undies! After getting to work. I really enjoyed wearing them. My one issue is the leg openings. They were a bit tight at times. The last few pairs of AC have been tight in the legs. Luckily it’s not a constant issue. It’s mainly noticeable when you put them on and then it goes away.

The fabric is a 90% Polyamide 10% Spandex blend. Which feels great! It’s a very silky like feeling to the fabric. It’s very breathable as well. The fabric is a navy blue with red cocks on them. Not those kinds of cocks, the poultry kind. It’s a great play on the word for AC to create. It should go without saying that this is a limited edition pair. So, if you want to rock this on Valentine’s Day, get them now!

The sizing of the pair is pretty much spot on. I got an XL and if you’re a bigger guy you will be able to fit in them. Andrew Christian makes pairs for the bigger guy. Which I am thankful for every day. When I was shopping for new undies, I realized there are some brands that I just can’t fit in. Yes, this year I plan on getting in better shape but us guys on the larger end want to feel sexy as hell too.

Overall I”m glad I got this pair. The print and the fit are both really good. That on top of the Almost Naked pouch and this will be in my rotation and be worn quite a bit. I wonder if I would get looks when I start the gym wearing this pair? Do you think many guys would notice the print? HMMM, just a thought!

Joe Snyder furnished the Maxibulge Cheek in pink for review.

Rating: 8.4/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 8/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 8/10

Pros:

  • Hot Pink fabric stands out anywhere!
  • Roomy pouch accentuates your package
  • Comfortable for all day (and night) wear

Cons:

  • My only complaint is the large care tag (Sorry I can’t get past this!)

UNB Ryan’s recommendation: Joe Snyder’s Maxibulge Cheek boxer (if you can even call it that) is a sexy take on a boxer brief. This suit has a pouch that lifts and accentuates your package, making it appear much larger than it is and rear coverage that separates your buns and doesn’t quite cover them completely. If you like the cheeky boy short styles sold for the girls, then you’ll love this suit. The gathered rear coverage feels very similar to wearing a traditional thong, as it stays right in place all day long!

To restate my opinion on Joe Snyder’s line of underwear-they are made with a quick-drying fabric that can easily transition from underwear to swimwear. Also, all of their suits feel great against the skin and don’t feature elastic in the leg holes or anywhere else unnecessary. Joe Snyder sent me a pair of their Maxibulge Cheek Boxers in pink for review, and of course, I was thrilled at the opportunity to try something different! As you all know, I wear thongs almost exclusively and the cheeky style is not in my normal rotation. The Maxibulge line offers a suit for every body type and occasion, and you should be able to find one in a color that suits your personality. They are constructed with a high emphasis on highlighting your package, as they lift it up and out, and ensure it is the highlight of the suit!

While I have only worn this suit as underwear on two separate occasions and not in a public setting, I am certain that you could get away with wearing this cut at any beach, pool, or waterpark without fear of offending anyone. I will definitely be putting it to the test this coming spring and summer in some of the locations I can’t wear a thong! When worn under a pair of jeans, there is a very noticeable increase to the size of your bulge. I imagine that this will increase even more when worn under a pair of slacks in the office. If you are looking for a style to increase the appearance of your package, Joe Snyder has definitely come through with this line! Also, this suit is very supportive! If you are looking for something to wear while working out the pouch on this suit should keep you supported while going through your routine without pulling you out of place as some thongs have the tendency to do.

As expected, the quality and construction of this suit falls nothing short of Joe Snyder’s reputation of excellence. The only suggestion I have with this, as well as any of Joe Snyder’s other suits, is to shrink the care tag! The styling of this suit more than makes up for it, as there isn’t an inch of this style that doesn’t cling to your body. From the pouch in the front that silhouettes your package perfectly to the rear that clings to every inch of your ass cheeks, this suit is sexy. You would never have thought that a suit with this much coverage would feel so sexy when you pull it on! The bright pink that I received this suit in does nothing but add to the fun you’ll have while wearing this suit! I can’t wait until warmer weather to wear these outside washing our cars or doing other outdoor activities!

I have yet to find one of Joe Snyder’s styles that is out of line with the fit. Each suit I have worn from them is right in line with industry standards in my opinion. The one piece of advice I can offer is the differences in the pouch sizes. I have tried the normal Cheek Boxer from Joe Snyder, and it has a noticeably smaller pouch size that the Maxibulge style, for obvious reasons. If you need a pouch with more room, please give this or one of Joe Snyder’s other Maxibulge styles a try!

To recap, this suit is very well rounded (no pun intended) and may be worn in about any circumstance you could run into. You could comfortably and without fear of ridicule wear this suit anywhere you like, from the locker room to the beach and everywhere in between. I plan to wear these to work when I finally go back next week and look forward to filling out my dress slacks a bit more! I look forward to seeing what new styles Joe Snyder will offer in 2018 and will continue to shop with them. If you haven’t tried anything from them before, give Joe Snyder a try!

I purchased the Cover Male Cheeky Boxer in navy for this review.

Rating: 7.7/10

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 7/10
  • Styling: 7/10
  • Daily Performance: 7.5/10

Pros:

  • Breathable fabric keeps your skin cool for hours
  • Pouch forward design accentuates your anatomy
  • Barely there design with no elastic in the leg openings

Cons:

  • The only print available is camouflage
  • The screen printed label isn’t very flattering to the design

UNB Ryan’s recommendation: I love thongs, and you can’t get too much closer to wearing one than the cheeky boxer style from Cover Male!  I have bought this same suit in the navy and hot pink (my favorite color) variations. These are great for long-term wear, and also for times that you may want to wear a little more than a thong style. I have worn these while doing various activities, and can say without a doubt that they are well suited for anything you want to do in them!

Cover Male is a staple in my underwear drawer.  I have several different styles from thongs to boxer briefs, and I love all of them!  They offer something for everyone, and I mean everyone.  Cover Male provides boxer style underwear for the traditional male mindset, brief styles for the more adventurous, and thong/g-string styles for the wilder side of each of us.  This pair of cheeky boxers is much more akin to a thong than a boxer style and is definitely within my comfort zone.

I’ve worn this pair on numerous occasions, from wearing them under my dress slacks at work to wearing them while doing yard work, and they perform each time flawlessly.  I don’t find myself feeling to adjust anything or pulling them away from my body but rather forget that I have them on, which is really what should happen when wearing underwear!  The fit of this pair is very minimal in that they don’t exaggerate your anatomy in any way, but rather gently accentuate it.

Cover Male’s designs have been very well constructed in my experience.  I have never had any issues with seams coming unraveled, elastic stretching out, or fabrics fading or bleeding excessively.  All of their designs have adequate elastic to hold everything in place without being so restrictive that they cause discomfort.  The leg openings on this pair do not have any elastic, and the feeling you get immediately after pulling them on is evident of the thought that went into the design.  You can’t tell they are there at all!

Cover Male’s suits don’t all share the same fit, but these are very true to size.  I have found that Cover Male, like many designers, run a little bit on the small side when buying their skimpier suits.  The styles that have string sides are typically cut smaller around the waist but will share the same pouch size.  The cheeky boxers are pretty safe (in my opinion) to order in your typical preferred size.  I haven’t had any issues with these riding up excessively or the leg openings being overly restrictive.  I found that the pouch on this pair is very well constructed, and offers generous room and support for your package.

I am certain that I will continue to buy from Cover Male, and in particular, I may take advantage of the sale currently going on and pick these up in a few more colors.  I particularly like the camouflage and white colors as my next choices.  If I were to make one suggestion to cover male, I would ask them to go back to the fabric care tag found in some of their older styles instead of the screen printed instructions they are using on the newer designs.  It’s not so bad on the smaller suits, but for the styles using wider swaths of fabric, they leave an unsightly impression from the outside.

This brief was purchased for review.

Overall Rating7.8/10

  • Daily Fit: 7/10
  • Sizing: 7/10
  • Construction: 8/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros:

  • Soft cotton fabric
  • Sexy cutout panels
  • Full back

Cons:

  • Black and charcoal grey is the only color choices
  • Cutout panels gape

Osgon’s Recommendation:  Pass.

Andrew Christian’s Affair brief has several good attributes.  Nevertheless, the brief’s execution failed to live up to the promise of its design.

First, the good:  The 95% cotton, 5% spandex blend is very comfortable against the skin and breathes all day.  The full-back provides complete coverage for the athletic American backside.  The colorful waistband stays flat against the hips without rolling or binding.  The bikini design – featuring cutout panels and a profile pouch – screams masculine sex appeal.

Next, the bad:  The leg bands were tighter than normal.  (This has been a problem for some Andrew Christian products after he changed manufacturing plants.  Some products, such as the recently reviewed Massive Icon brief, have leg bands that are completely comfortable.  The Affair brief’s leg bands were not.)  The cutout panels bunched and gaped later in the day rather than remaining flat against the skin.  The pouch, while comfortable, also tended to gape open.  This means the brief wouldn’t be appropriate for anything except the most sedentary of activities.

In sum, the flaws in design execution mean I cannot recommend this brief.  I won’t throw it away, but I won’t be excited to slip it on when it rises to the top of my underwear rotation.

If you’re in the market for Andrew Christian underwear, a better choice is the Flash City brief from AC’s Massive collection.  The Massive collection’s products are better made, they feature the same “almost naked” pouch, and the Massive collection’s polyamide-spandex blend fabric combines a luxurious feel with four-way stretch to provide all day (and all activity) comfort.

The Affair brief retails for $18 on Andrew Christian’s website.

Overall Rating9.9/10

  • Daily Fit: 9.5/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros:

  • Green color option! (red & blue, too)
  • Comfortable mesh fabric
  • Full coverage back

Cons:

  • Pouch is slightly smaller than “Knockout” brief
  • Fabric has slightly less stretch than “Knockout” brief

Osgon’s Recommendation:  Buy!

Two years ago I reviewed Nasty Pig’s Knockout brief.  It’s still a favorite, so I used the Knockout as my baseline for reviewing NP’s new Ignition brief from the company’s Sport line.

For the Ignition, Nasty Pig has chosen comfortable, breathable mesh composed of 90% polyester and 10% spandex. The brief is manufactured in Thailand and moved with me all day without any noticeable bunching, twisting, or binding.  This is an apt choice if you wear briefs for sports.

Nasty Pig offers the Ignition in three colors.  The green brief has a green pouch, green leg bands, yellow inset panels and a black back.  The blue brief has a white pouch, white leg bands, blue inset panels and a black back.  The red brief has a black pouch, yellow leg bands, yellow panels and a red back.

The Ignition sits low on the waist.  The leg openings rise about ¼” lower than the Knockout’s leg bands.  The Ignition has a full back that fits the American derrière well.

The brief’s 1.5” waistband features a nonrepeating, scripted Nasty Pig logo centered on the front.  Each waistband contains the brief’s three colors in varying configurations to complement an overall scheme.  The double-locked seams showed no flaws anywhere.

The Ignition’s overall styling evokes a traditional brief silhouette, yet the brief’s color options and aggressive waistband embody that rule-breaker mentality for which Nasty Pig is known.  The Ignition was truly a well-made garment.

My singular quibble is that the Ignition’s pouch is slightly less deep than the Knockout brief.  This difference could be the result of each style line being composed of different fabrics.  The Ignition’s depth difference isn’t a major flaw per se (and won’t matter to most) but might be something to consider if you’re on the bubble between sizes.

This brief retails for $32 on Nasty Pig’s website.  I purchased mine at Skivvies in Dallas.

Review – Andrew Christian Lace Brief

Rating: 9.6/10

  • Daily fit: 9.5/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros:

  • fantastic look and feel
  • unique styling for men’s underwear
  • gives your confidence a supercharge

Cons:

  • fabric doesn’t stretch as much as others
  • might need to size up
  • the pouch is a tad snug

Lately, there’s been some talk on this site about lace underwear. I’ve never tried any, but the idea always intrigued me. I feel like I’m pretty open to trying new things with underwear and lace was no different. So when Andrew Christian debuted a line of lace and I was asked if I wanted to review a pair I jumped right in. This was my first time wearing lace, and as far as I know, the first line of lace from Andrew Christian. All I can say is what took us so long?!

I received the lace brief, but there’s also a thong and singlet available. They’re all constructed in black floral lace. Other than the black waistband with the signature ‘Andrew Christian’ logo in metallic silver this brief is constructed entirely of lace. Hold it up to the light and you get the full effect of the stunning lace design. There’s no lining or double layer anywhere. This means everything that contacts your body gets that awesome lace feel. And that feel is a huge plus when it comes to lace. This isn’t a cheap, scratchy lace material. It feels great against your body and has a nice stretch to it. The logo waistband and the pouch give no doubt that this is men’s underwear. I know some guys get hung up thinking lace looks like or can be confused with girls panties, but there’s nothing to worry about with these.

I wore the brief to work which included a lot of desk work. The beauty is I wore it with jeans and boots. The contrast of a masculine look on the outside and a lace brief on the inside was an exhilarating feeling all day. And the way I could feel the lace move against my butt reminded me that this was a special pair. Just wearing lace gave me a huge confidence boost, but feeling it against my skin was also a great bonus.

I’m about a 32-33 waist, and I got these in a medium. The lace has some stretch to it but not nearly as much as some rayon or bamboo blends. You may want to consider sizing up, especially since the pouch on this was just a tad on the snug size.

I was super excited to get my first pair of lace and you should too! In fact, I just ordered another pair. There’s no reason why guys shouldn’t experience the rush of excitement and feel of the fabric all day long. Knowing that I was wearing such a risqué pair made it that much hotter. If you’re on this site, you owe it to yourself to try a pair.

I purchased the Daniel Alexander Brazilian Back String Bikini  in purple, blue, and black.

Rating: 5.8/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 6/10
  • Sizing: 4/10
  • Construction: 6/10
  • Styling: 6/10
  • Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros:

  • Polyamide/Spandex blend fabric feels nice
  • Back style hugs and accentuates butt
  • Feels good for long term wear

Cons:

  • Sizing is off-I could probably wear an XS if it were available
  • No pattern colors available
  • Waistband does not stretch at all

UNB Ryan’s recommendation: If you like tiny, almost not there bikini underwear, this is the pair for you.  The Brazilian Back String Bikini from Daniel Alexander feels great against the skin, doesn’t over-accentuate your package by lifting it out in the front, and feels rather sexy hugging your butt all day.  I love the way it features a tiny Brazilian back with tiny ¼” string sides that would almost be more at home on the beach than under a pair of dress slacks!

I haven’t worn Daniel Alexander in the past, so I decided to give them a try with the Brazilian Back String Bikini.  I am normally a thong wearer, but allow myself to try other things from time to time, and this skimpy bikini sounded like it would fit the bill.  If I’m not going to wear a thong, I typically want to wear the slinkiest pair of underwear that I can find.  This style from Daniel Alexander was definitely tiny!  I looked forward to wearing this pair after placing my order, and planned to wear them first on a normal workday as I do most of my new styles.

I have worn these underwear numerous times to work, out shopping with the wife, and lounging around the house.  For leisurely activities, these work great, but they are pretty tiny and don’t really offer much support, so I don’t think they’d be very well suited for wearing to workout or on a run.  These feel great against the skin, and gently hug your package and butt.  The only downfall to the style is the material used for the waistband isn’t very stretchy, so they don’t fit as tightly as I like.

These underwear are constructed very well-after numerous outings in them I haven’t noticed any stretching or stitching coming unraveled.  The fabric used is a polyamide/spandex blend that feels nice against the skin, and doesn’t require any special care.  The pouch on this pair is a flat front design, so you can feel free to wear these under any type of pants without the fear of them showing off too much.  The pouch holds your package in a downward position and is not a push out design.  The rear of the suit is a Brazilian design and doesn’t cover very much.  They feature a flat coverage back and are not gathered or bunched in the rear.  I like the fact that they are as skimpy as they are-it’s exactly what I was looking for in a Brazilian cut.

I bought these in a size small, as I do all of my underwear.  I normally wear a size 31-32 in dress pants and have found that for most styles a small fits me well.  This style is an exception-they fit well everywhere other than the waist.  I think it is due to the material used for the waistband not being very stretchy.  If I had to make any suggestions to Daniel Alexander concerning this style I would recommend that they replace the waistband with a different style or fabric.

In the past, I wouldn’t of really been too excited about a simple bikini style like this one.  However, after reviewing a couple of pairs, I am a Brazilian bikini fan!  If you like small bikinis, don’t let this one pass you by.  The only downfalls to this pair of underwear are the straps not being very stretchy and the sizing being off.  If you wear a larger size, give this pair a try and perhaps size down when ordering.  Drop me a line in the comments if you try a pair!

BRAND: Daniel Alexander
PAIR: Brazilian Bikini
COLORS: The pair I reviewed was purple, these are also available in red, blue, black, and a variety of dual color combinations.
FABRIC: 86% Polyamide 14% Spandex
SIZES: S-XL

I purchased the Joe Snyder Bulge Bikini in black lace on a whim because I found it on sale.

Rating: 7.6/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 8/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 6/10
  • Styling: 8/10
  • Daily Performance: 7/10

Pros:

  • Super soft lace fabric
  • Snug fitting stretchy pouch accentuates your package
  • Comfortable for all-day wear

Cons:

  • Some guys will be hesitant to wear a lace fabric
  • Fabric unraveled slightly after only two wears
  • Lace fabric only available in two colors

UNB Ryan’s recommendation: As an avid thong wearer, I cannot recommend this suit enough.  I normally wear thongs for underwear and swimwear and was hesitant to try a different cut, especially in a lace fabric.  The way Joe Snyder coupled the two components of this suit together is unique.  I thought that the lace fabric choice would be much more effeminate than it ended up being.  The lace just feels completely normal and doesn’t look out of place on my figure to me.  I also thought it would be much more uncomfortable and itchy to wear all day long.  The lace used in this suit is very soft and stretchy and stays in place all day long, which is a complaint I have had with trying bikinis in the past.  I will be purchasing more suits in lace fabrics!

I have come to appreciate and enjoy the Joe Snyder brand both as underwear and swimwear.  They are one of the brands that are a “crossover” between underwear and swimwear and give you the opportunity to wear them year round.  I have many pairs of Joe Snyder suits and various cuts and colors and will continue to buy from them.  The pair I am reviewing today is the Joe Snyder Bulge Bikini in black lace.  I was honestly a little hesitant to buy these due to both the cut and fabric choice, but for the cost, I had to give them a try and see what the fuss was all about.  I am normally strictly a thong wearer and do not usually stray away from them to try anything different, but the Joe Snyder brand has made me more curious about different styles.  While not as much out of my “comfort zone” as say a jock or a normal swim brief they are certainly not the norm for me due to the style and lace fabric!  I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked the bikini cut coupled with the lace fabric.  The cut is well suited for long-term wear, and the lace fabric is very stretchy and feels gerat against the skin without being itchy like I thought a lace fabric might have been.

I have worn these on two separate occasions, once for a full day at work, and another on a date night to the movies.  Both times were an enjoyable experience, and I honestly forgot that I was wearing them.  These are not a constant reminder that you are wearing them, and just feel nice the entire time you have them on.  Even with the “bulge” feature they are not overtly pronounced under a pair of dress slacks or uncomfortable under a pair of jeans.  They hold your package in a semi-forward position without being so pronounced that you’d be self-conscious about wearing them under your clothes in public.  I liked the fit so much that I have already bought them in another color and will likely expand my collection further to include more in the future.

This suit is well constructed but didn’t live up to my expectations for the Joe Snyder brand.  I have bought many pairs of Joe Snyder underwear/swimwear, and this was the first pair I have personally seen that showed obvious signs of wear so quickly.  This pair started to unravel along one of the seams where the straps meet between the pouch and the back panel, and while I think it is partly due to the lace fabric, I still wasn’t 100% happy with the construction.  Putting the construction of this particular pair aside, I am in love with the cut of this suit, which is surprising, because I am a huge proponent of thongs!  The cut of this suit is super comfy for all day/night wear, doesn’t cut into your skin anywhere, and stays put remarkably well for a Brazilian style bikini and doesn’t ride up.

Joe Snyder suits and underwear have always been true to size for me.  I have bought numerous thongs, the current bikini, and various brief and boxer-style suits and a size small always fits the same.  This suit was no exception as I bought it in size small and it fit me perfectly.  From the waist sizing to the pouch, it fits very similar to any of the other Joe Snyder products.

To summarize, this is a well-constructed suit that can be worn year round.  The construction falls a little short of what I’ve come to expect from the Joe Snyder brand, but I’m hoping that it was an isolated incident and I won’t let it stop me from buying another pair.  If I could ask Joe Snyder to change anything I would say that I’d love to see more color or design choices in their lace fabrics.  Different, brighter choices and pattern variations would add a lot of diversity to this line.  Give this option a try in your rotation, and I am confident you will be surprised at how much you find yourself liking them!

Andrew Christian furnished the Almost Naked Retro Brief. for review. All opinions expressed are that of the reviewer.

Rating: 9/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 9/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:

  • Amazing Almost naked pouch
  • Innovative design that has a retro feel
  • Good fabric to wear on active days

Cons:

  • Some guys may not like the retro design
  • The pouch design may scare some guys

UNB Tim recommendation: If you’re looking for an innovative design and a retro style than this pair is for you. Also, if the pouch is one of the most important things these will fit you and give you some awesome support.

The pair I am reviewing is the Andrew Christian Almost Naked Retro Brief. The Almost Naked is one of my favorite lines in the AC line up. The pouch is the best pouch that AC makes. Well, that is my opinion! There are other pouches like the Trophy Boy, but this one rocks it for me.

The first thing I noticed was the design. I had to double check it wasn’t a Show-It pair. Personally speaking, I am not a big fan of that technology. Not because I don’t think it’s good but it’s just not for me. I say this because the pouch had a section that looked like you put your junk through it. Upon further inspection, the front has a fly like look. It’s open around the sides but it’s not a traditional fly. I had my hesitations but gave this pair a chance.

I wore this to work. At work, some days are more active than others. Climbing up and down stairs, sitting for extended period of time and it’s a mix of office and warehouse at times. The pair really held up great. The pouch didn’t rub me the wrong way at all. In fact, I didn’t notice it throughout the day. The almost naked pouch performed as I expected.

The fabric was pretty soft and fit me well. The construction of AC undies for me has been pretty good. I have never had a pair give me issues on a review. As I said above the design is pretty cool and different from what I am used to with AC Almost Naked line.

The sizing or AC is spot on. If you follow the size chart you should have no issues. I’m on the larger end of the spectrum and the XL fits me well. I think I’m beyond the upper limit and it still fits me pretty well. As always if you’re on the boarder of a size go larger. You will thank me later.

Overall, this new pouch design impressed me with the Almost Naked Retro Brief. I had my hesitations about the design. It gave me more than enough support through out the day. If you need a great pouch and design you need to check this pair out.

Andrew Christian furnished these pairs for review.  The opinions expressed are those of the reviewer.

Rating: 9.2/10 (Average of the ratings below)

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:

  • Awesome Almost Naked pouch that gives natural lift and support
  • A solid waistband for those who aren’t fans of waistband
  • Love the super hero feel of the pairs

Cons:

  • If you are a guy who likes prints, these are solid colors
  • They are sold in a three pack,

UNB Tim recommendation: I loved the color and feel of these briefs. They are super fun and held up really great throughout the day. I would recommend these for super hero fans or those who love bright colors in their undies.

It’s not everyday that we review a three pack on UNB. Usually most pairs that come in packs are ones you get at big box stores.  This is not one of those pairs.  The Superhero Boy Briefs.  They are a set of Almost Naked briefs in super hero colors. Meaning they are bright colors topped off with a contrasting waistband.  So those of you out there worried they are juvenile comic characters all over you undies l, you can relax.

This is what Andrew Christian had to say about the pairs

Look and feel as sexy as three superheroes in our 3 pack of Superhero Boy Briefs. A stylish, limited edition version of a classic boy brief, each pair has everything you love about all your favorite Andrew Christian styles – “hang-free” design and no hidden cups, straps, or padding, and a super soft snuggle pocket to create a truly enjoyable, unique wearing experience. Wearing them almost feels like you’re wearing nothing at all.

The briefs themselves are a pretty simple design. They don’t have the prints or wild cuts as other pairs.  Which for this line is perfect.  I think the more simple the design the better. I mean how many super heroes have patterned underwear?  Not many I would say.

I wore these pairs to work on three consecutive days. They fit great. The pouch is one of my favorite things.  Say what you will of Andrew Christian, the man knows how to make an amazing pouch. One that doesn’t show off too much but still gives plenty of support which is important for me.

Some things I really liked were the color combinations. They do mimic super heroes. Blue/Red, Black/Yellow and Red/Blue. If you aren’t a fan of branded waistbands. The Superhero Boy Briefs have a solid waistband with the Andrew Christian name woven in the band. This means it’s not noticeable. If anyone sees it, they will see a solid band.

Made out of a 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex blend. This fabric kept me cool all day and felt amazing. Wearing these to work was a good decision. I am not sure being a cotton blend I would wear them to the gym or working out. The pouch in these again are AMAZING.

The sizing for me in Andrew Christian has been spot on. I received an XL and it fit well. The important thing to do is make sure you look at the sizing chart. If you are on the boarder of a size go up a size jut to be safe.

Andrew Christian furnished a brief from its “Massive Icon” collection for review.

Rating9.6/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros:

  • 4-way stretch fabric (90% polyamide, 10% spandex) provides all-day comfort
  • Pouch enhances your profile better & is more comfortable than AC’s “Show It” collection
  • Fabric’s unusual pattern makes this brief a must-have winner

Cons:

  • Leg bands are slightly tighter than other AC products
  • The pouch initially seems like it will provide less room area than found in the “Almost Naked” line, but the 4-way stretch fabric overcomes this deficiency
  • This limited edition brief will sell out quickly

Osgon’s Recommendation:  A Strong Buy!

I’ve loved Andrew Christian products for years, as evidenced by dresser drawers filled with AC boxer briefs, briefs, jock straps, thongs, and swimwear.  I also own several items of AC athletic wear (and even a sweater).  So imagine my excitement when UNB Tim asked me to review the new Icon brief from AC’s “Massive” collection.

My test involved a day of running errands, putting together a new aquarium, and a brief stint outdoors.  These events provided opportunities to bend, squat, lean, lunge, lift, stand, walk, and – not surprisingly in this Texas heat – sweat.  The fabric and construction of the garment were up to the task, and the brief performed exceedingly well.  The brief held my kibbles and bits firmly in place, without even the slightest need to readjust.  Everything also stayed nice and dry due to the moisture wicking properties of the polyamide-spandex blend fabric.  The unusual, limited-edition print provided visual novelty.  I hope AC continues providing similar forward-leaning fabric patterns in future editions of its “Massive” collection.

I have only two criticisms of this brief.  First, I’m a huge fan of AC’s “Almost Naked” collection, and this brief has only about ninety percent of the initial roominess of cotton versions of the Almost Naked line.  Rather than have everything fall comfortably into the pouch when slipping on this underwear, one has to place one’s equipment into the pouch.  It’s not a deal breaker, but it is something that was unexpected.  Second, the leg elastic was tighter than that found in most other AC products.  It was not uncomfortable, but it was slightly tighter.  I don’t feel either criticism warrants purchasing a larger size, but each merits your consideration.

In sum, I loved the Icon brief from AC’s new Massive collection.  Any guy who enjoys an unusual pattern and the anatomically correct pouch will be happy he added this brief to his top drawer rotation.

At last check, AC does not have this brief available at its official online store.  A jock strap is available there.  A google search shows other online stores have the brief in stock.  If you like this pattern, order it A.S.A.P.; you won’t be disappointed.

PAIR: Massive Icon brief

SIZES: Small – X-Large

D.Hedral furnished the Seamless Brief for review.

Rating: 9.2/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling: 8/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros: Luxurious material, Anglefit technology, waistband

Cons: No defined pouch (more of a personal preference), didn’t stay in place all day

UNB Marco recommendation: I am in love with this blend of materials and the classiness of this pair of briefs.

D.Hedral is one of those brands I’ve always wanted to try, but because it’s a European brand that charges shipping and is a bit on the pricey side, I never ended up making a purchase. Within the first minute of putting on the pair, I knew I had been seriously missing out.

When I first saw the pair, I assumed it would be more of a fashion pair and not made for going to the gym, but after wearing it, I realized I was wrong. The material is lightweight, breathable, and dries quickly, so it’s actually ideal for high-intensity activities. In addition, as its name says, it’s seamless, so that allows for more freedom of movement for various exercises. But I also think it’s  perfect for those lazy Sunday mornings spent lounging around the house because of its sheer comfort. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s one of the most comfortable pairs of briefs I’ve ever worn. It fits like a glove, has soft fabric, and doesn’t constrict any part of me.

My favorite feature of this pair is D.Hedral’s Anglefit Technology. Basically, it’s like an invisible Y back that contours your rear end and results in a perfect fit. There’s no lifting or uncomfortable straps, it simply acts as a second skin and shows off your silhouette. Overall, the seamless construction works well, definitely better than other seamless pairs that kind of choke your package due to the lack of built-in pouch. Every aspect of this pair is elegant and modern, especially the contrast waistband that adds an extra layer of style.

As for size, there’s actually only a Small/Medium and a Large/Extra Large. Normally this would present a problem, but the pair allows for ample stretching, so you should be safe basing your size off of their waist size ranges.

I suspect that within the next year or two, D.Hedral is going to become a major player in the American underwear market. That’s because it’s extremely comfortable, makes you look good, and has a classic yet unique look that appeals to every type of guy.
